Where I live, a team that has steadily lost for decades upon decades is so popular that no one can afford tickets and it's the most profitable team in the league.

Then entire city shut down completley for one day in 2019 because we won a championship.

We support five professional teams and are always bucking for another.

This isn't something that's waning.
