1. Did the on-air talent really not know about the fake names?

2. Did whomever votes for the winners really not check to see that the person they were voting for actually exists?

On the one hand, I can't be overly mad at people deserving of an award getting an award. It's not their fault the rules said they were ineligible as on-air talent. OTOH, it's shady as heck. And I'm sure the on-air talent was eligible for their own awards.
