it started late Friday morning with a sound I am not familiar to hearing at 11:15am.....the sound of my husband's keys jingling in the lock.

I was making coffee, and I'm sure with a look of abject horror, I ask, "what's wrong?" because he never comes home from work early unless he's hurt or sick.

He claimed he had hurt his shoulder, and since everyone else had called out sick, he wasn't going to work all by himself with a hurt shoulder. Except, he was sounding all kinds of snotty (the head congestion kind) and was a little pale.

He did not eat lunch. he did not want any snacks. I asked if he was sure it was just his shoulder, and he SNOTTILY replied that it WAS and to just LEAVE HIM ALONE. So I did!

and at 4:30, he announced he was "going to bed" because the hurt shoulder was, "really knocking him out." and I'm over here like, yeeeeah...sure it's your SHOULDER. By 7pm he was a feverish MESS.

Saturday was worse. there has been a lot of MOANING and GROANING that one would expect with...malaria. Sunday was not better and neither was yesterday.

last night he claimed he was "too weak to eat" but he would not GO TO BED.

It's hard to tell how sick he really is or what he is feeling because if it's a hangnail, a hemorrhoid or broken LIMB, he acts the same way.

I asked him what bothered him the most, like what HURT the most and he said he didn't know. I asked yesterday if he felt the same as Sunday, a little worse or a little better and he said he didn't know.

?? then how in the hell am I supposed to help him? If he's the same tomorrow, he's going to the walk-in clinic. I cannot help him if he can't even express what is wrong or act in a way that is commiserate with how he's feeling, instead of just being a big ol'whiney baby.
