to see *fully* with just our eyes (you can see a bright dot in the sky though; it's visible at night now), it would be approximately the size of the Moon in the night sky.

In about 4 billion years (around the time we get swallowed up by the Sun turning into a Red Giant (but not going Super Nova...it will become a White Dwarf) the spirals of our galaxy will be subsumed by Andromeda. So we're goners anyway :P
