letters to sending emails and texts affected handwriting overall. I can't remember the last bonafide letter I wrote...it might've been during that brief spell about 10 years ago or so when my sister's son and I were exchanging handwritten letters. I *do* still send cards in the mail and usually write several lines along with "love, Vicky" (assuming I'm close enough to you to love you <g>).

While I don't begrudge email and texts and do, in fact, avail myself of both frequently (and am known among a small circle of family and friends for sending practically novella-length emails), I do regret how much correspondence is lost to future generations. Not too many people save texts and emails to pass on.
