I gave it up after reading that people who write super, super straight tend to be controlling to the point where they'll commit crimes to keep order in their lives. One of my very favorite long time co-workers--Ted--not only wrote very, very straight, he actually used a ruler to ensure his writing didn't slant up or down. I always just assumed that was because he was a Virgo like me, and we Virgos like things neat and tidy.
