Very excited that we get fog and rain this week. Downside..planning

my 61st birthday trip with the hub in late January, and I REALLY want to schlep him up to MY Mono, BUT...if this winter is anything like last winter, that so ain't happening. The eastern Sierras and the high Sierras were completely shut down until late Spring.

So...if the promised El Nino torrents do materialize, where would we go? Pondering...maybe Monterey??? We could stay in Carmel and enjoy the cold and the rain, which would make me very happy.

They are saying we'll have thick fog this week. I love fog and am really excited.
