till several years after I graduated from college) went nuts for all kinds of tomato sauce. She was usually pretty polite around food, sitting hopefully at your feet but not begging...unless Mom made spaghetti. Then she was trying to get in your lap to get to the table. We'd all let her lick our plates clean at the end of dinner (and then Mom would wash each plate by hand a couple times AND run them through the dishwasher).

Cats are (delightfully) weird.
