I've told the story here before about how sock monkeys became a thing in my family...a few years ago, I had to put my foot down and tell the siblings and niblings absolutely no more sock monkey ANYTHING. At one point, Dad had the original (garage sale) sock monkey, a smaller sock monkey, sock monkey ornaments, a sock monkey shirt, a sock monkey hat, a sock monkey snow globe, sock monkey socks and a sock monkey blanket.
