Thanksgiving was great, but man, all that cooking is a LOT OF WORK, and I only made turkey for 2.
apple cider reduction was a hit, although the crowd I served it to would have rather had it warm in whiskey or bourbon rather than the tequila I brought. hey, they were apple cider margaritas, LOL!
the reduction is amazing, and I still have a lot left. it's great on just about everything! yogurt, tea, club soda, still water, champagne...oatmeal, fruit...etc, etc.
We also put up the tree before we headed to my parent's house, so on Friday I spent most of the DAY hanging 1,000 white and 300 color lights on my tree.
Saturday we did yard clean up, for 5 hours. But it's done - there is no need for me to step one foot outside until spring to do anything other than hang holiday lights up. LOL
Sunday, we did grocery shopping, spent 2 hours with my husband's godson then came home and put up our two new holiday signs! oh BOY are they bright!! I selected the location specifically so neither one is blinding the neighbors. ha!
and yesterday afternoon we just CRASHED, so it was Chinese take out for dinner and catching up on the DVR.
Holiday movies watched over the weekend:
Home Alone
Elf
Christmas Vacation
Why Him
