Show #1: at a (very) local church. A wide variety of crafts, many sold by older women. Many vendors were giving part of their profits to various charities, including one that protected children from s*x trafficking and one that helped send youth on various missionary trips. I wasn't intending on buying much at either show today but I left Show #1 with a cupcake, a pair of maple leaf earrings (hooray!), a necklace and pin from the table donating money to the prevention of child s*x trafficking (all their jewelry was donated and most was under $5--my necklace was a dollar and the pin only 25 cents), a small wooden ornament purchased from a military veteran and a jar of blueberry orange marmalade (the sample got me <g>).

Show #2: at a bowling alley/theater in Lakewood. A decidedly less variety of crafts--mostly homemade stickers, bookmarks, tumblers and self-published books, sold mostly by young people who were part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Most of the merchandise had some variation (or ALL variations) of the f-word on them. There was a book sale as well that was advertised as "a Scholastic Book Fair for grownups", but I don't remember Scholastic Book Fairs selling so many books about the occult (nor were the books at the SBF quite so expensive). My sole purchase there: some truly outstanding brown sugar oatmeal chocolate chip cookies sold by "Cookie Boy CLE". However, I also wound up making stops at Sweet Designs chocolatier and The Tea Lab for goodies, including some of the most beautiful artisan truffles I've ever laid eyes on and a bag of butterfly pea tea, which I wanted mostly for its gorgeous color <g>. And if anyone's ever in Lakewood, I *highly* recommend Angelo's Pizza [link] . Good church friend and I split some fried zucchini (an extremely generous portion, served with a chipotle mayo so good, I wanted to stick a straw in it and drink it) and a small Mediterranean pizza. It was absolutely delicious!
