Obviously, there is no risk if you get massive participation. But it’s difficult to get the American population to vote and I guess I’m a bit pessimistic about getting many people to stop shopping. I hope I’m wrong and a lot of people are at a point where they are ready to do something. If too few people participate, it will have the opposite effect than what is intended. Low participation will tell TPTB that the public is apathetic about DEI — or worse — that the public agrees with them about DEI. What message are you hoping to send with the action? What message does low participation send? That’s the risk I’m thinking about.
