It's interesting. The convoy made flying the flag a hateful statement, so I haven't seen this much overt patriotism in a minute -- but this topic has united the French and the English, the Indigenous and new immigrants, basically everyone but the handful of Canadians who have decided siding with Trump will make them rich.
And our PM has quit, so he doesn't really feel like he has to make nice with anyone anymore.
It's a weird vibe. Suddenly the guy who looked like he was a lock to be our next PM is getting side-eye for not bluntly saying he will stand up against the tariff threat. And a lot of people are really swept up by Mark Carney.
Legitimately have no idea what is going to happen but it's nice to see people agreeing for once.
