sort of misfit (I have a vague recollection of some kind of elephant early on that was supposed to be light blue with dark blue stitching but a few got made with dark blue fabric with light stitching, or maybe vice versa, and now the "wrong" ones are among the only BB that are valuable). Or how sports teams think it's cool to play a limited number of games in "special" uniforms--maybe different colors, maybe a slightly different logo--and fans run out and snatch up the new stuff along with the old stuff.
I'm ALL for Trump going broke but somehow I don't think erroneous merch will hurt his bottom line in the least. If it's even him funding the making of his merch and not his supporters.
