It's like dealing with a child. He's currently on truth social calling Justin Trudeau the Governor of the State of Canada.
Just trying to imagine how Americans would react if our PM ever joked about annexing them while simultaneously threatening to set both our economies on fire.
When Trump was elected a lot of people in my life commented that they wouldn't be visiting the states of the next four years and I was initially feeling so depressed by it that I felt like "whatever. It doesn't make a difference." -- but now I feel like I never want to go back there. I had forgotten that feeling of just desperately wanting to cut ourselves loose and float off as an island.
I know it's hardly the worst thing he's done or will do, but the degree to which he's ok just being massively disrespectful to whole nations, coupled with the degree to which people don't really care is just killing every warm feeling going to the US this spring had ignited. The thing about "America first" is that the rest of the world starts to feel like they literally have to figure out a way to exist without including the US at all.
