when you have a vengeful political enemy about to take office would be awfully hard for most parents to resist.

I do think that people should serve their time.

I get why this feels like something that needs to be done. Trump would do it. It had no major impact on the world. Ford pardoned Nixon. I never doubted Joe was going to pardon Hunter.
