reason is cheap labor. It’s intentional systemic dysfunction. MAGAs have demonized migrants/immigrants, most of whom are hard workers who only want a better life for their families. Dems need to shine that kind of focus on the businesses that exploit these people.

I don’t know if you watched The Wire but David Simon is one of my favorite TV writers, I would love to see him do a Wire-style show centered on immigration in the US.
