media. I haven't turned on the news since Wed. a.m., and I don't plan on doing so any time soon.
Over the past 8 years, every time I turned on MSNBC or CNN – every time – it was Trump, Trump Trump. They built the monster. They made him bigger than life. They could not get enough of him, and they ensured we couldn’t either at the expense of Biden's accomplishments. They may not be the “enemy of the people” - but they are complicit in the rise of Trump.
I don’t want to see the media normalize Trump or his voters. I don’t want them to pick apart Harris who showed more heart, dignity, grace, smarts, and conviction than anyone sitting in the pundit seats dreams of showing.
America let the dead-beat abusive husband back in the house thinking maybe he'd help with the rent. We need to understand why, but there is no amount of reflection Dems. can do when half the nation is fed a steady diet of lies and grievances.
One example: The idea that Harris and Biden took emergency aid away from the victims of Hurricane Helene – in mostly Southern, red states – and gave it to undocumented migrants did not start with Trump or his campaign or Vance or the RNC or Graham. It started on Fox. Only then did the others pick it up. It was key since this was a moment when Harris’ momentum in the polling averages began to decline.
