Travelling internationally for a few years. Mainly because my parents are getting older and they will need me around.
I was fortunate in 2022 that I sold a condo I had paid off for a lot more than I paid for it. I used a chunk of to cut my current mortgage payment in half, another chunk for savings, and a 3rd chunk to travel extensively. People have asked me why I haven't spread out my trips more. While the main reason is I frontloaded was because I knew there was quick coming a time when I would need to be around for my parents. Added to that now is that I don't want to spend the money to travel. It is time to tighten my belt.
