While I agree that the economy was a big issue I'm hard pressed to believe a female candidate could have spent 45 minutes of a televised town hall swaying to the Village People and still won. There's some willful idiocy going on here, too.
ETA: I may be coming off a little hotter here than I intend. I think I'm just saying "Yes, the economy was definitely the biggest problem. But I think we can blame misogyny, too."
