My daughter and I went to the local ballot drop box (in the Sheriff's Office lobby) and shoved our ballots into the slot. We saw one person exit as we were going into the building and one person was entering as we exiting. That's good foot traffic. Usually we're the only ones there when we drop off our ballots. This was about 1:30 on a Friday afternoon. It may indicate good/high turn out.
With the abortion measure on the ballot (Proposition 139: YES = Abortion is a fundamental right with limited ability by the state to interfere before viability, after viability to protect the life/health of the pregnant person, prohibits laws penalizing a person for assisting an individual obtaining an abortion or NO = Not a fundamental right, the current 15 week limit remains in place, and would allow the State to further restrict or ban abortion in the future.), I expect the turnout to be high for that issue alone, with more Democrats and liberals/progressives showing up. Some Republicans and Independents want to [have] legal flexibility. Some (few) Republicans/Conservatives are for complete bans and willing to inch their way towards it. claiming that the current legislation is as far as they'd want to go...and some people actually believe them.
Now...it's just a matter of waiting.
