Some highlights that resonated with me:
Raskin – Simply adore this man. He was on fire, and I appreciate his devotion to the Constitution and J6.
Jasmine Crockett – What a superstar. Her story about Kamala hugging her and saying she is exactly where she needs to be was poignant. Love her alliteration: “Will a vindictive vile villain violate voters’ vision…?”
AOC – When you have generational talent on your side, you make damn sure she's in the game when it matters. She brought the house down with her passion. I felt bad for the person following her, but…
HRC – She understood the assignment, and I loved it when the crowd chanted “Lock him up!” and her head nodded along. HRC will forever be the POTUS who should have been. She took all the arrows, fought the good fight, and handed the torch to Kamala.
Gwen Walz – Fellow educator being teary-eyed as she hears Hillary saying, “Keep going!” She was channeling all of us.
Biden – The OG girl’s dad was sweet, and the love between father and daughter was evident. Joe drying his eyes... “America, I gave my best to you.” Gulp.
And it was only night one of the convention. Bring on the Obamas!
