It took President Biden 3 weeks to come to terms with the fact that he had to step aside because he simply could not accept the mounting evidence that his candidacy was a drag on Ds chances up and down the ballot in the fall.
I just simply don't buy that he played everyone, especially since he was stubborn enough to run again AND when Dr. Biden is all but saying those who called for my husband to step aside are dead to her. To me if he was some master strategist we wouldn't have spent most of July defending a man who obviously is not up to running for President.
Honestly I get that the good feeling that folks have for him but I cannot escape that we wouldn't have had all of this chaos in the first place if he and everyone around him (including other D leaders) had been realistic about all of this a year ago. It will take me a long time to trust any of them again when it comes a realistic view on electoral chances and that includes President Biden especially.
