red flag. Losing them, having Clooney say something publicly, getting to the point where Obama and Pelosi were involved... I just think it had to be pretty rough for this to have happened.
My mother is the same age as Biden and she is in great shape. We were talking about this on the weekend -- ironically her birthday -- and I said "I think you're doing great on every metric -- I think if you spent one week as President you'd be doing terribly." It's exhausting when you're in your 40s. It doesn't have to be anything other than stamina, but you can't change people's minds about what they're seeing.
As a D party we need to have these conversations. We should have had it last year about President Biden running for a second term.
Hard agree. It never should have got to this place. And in general, I have to agree, people need to get more real about when to leave the stage. Because not going is a trend at this point.
