Rumor has it that a huge medical crisis is coming. So that got me thinking about this topic.

Port Charles Hotel Fire (2004): A fire in the hotel's boiler room spread to the Versailles Room, killing Dr. Cameron Lewis and creating a massive rescue effort where Nikolas Cassadine was presumed dead.

Metro Court Hostage Crisis (2007): Jerry Jacks held patrons at the Metro Court hotel hostage, resulting in the death of Dr. Alan Quartermaine from a heart attack.

Earthquake (1991/2018): A massive earthquake in 1991 destroyed the town and trapped Felicia Jones under rubble; another earthquake in 2018 acted as a backdrop to dramatic character conflicts.

Encephalitis Virus Outbreak (2006): A deadly virus, often described as a "peak GH" storyline, caused a quarantine of the city and included the death of Dr. Tony Jones.

Water Pathogen Crisis (2012): A dangerous virus hit Port Charles through the water supply, causing many residents to become sick.

Train Crash (2005): A train derailment that prompted a major rescue effort.

Bio-Toxin Crisis (2009): A hazardous chemical release that led to a fire at the hospital.

Favorite: Hotel fire. HM: Train crash.

Least Favorite: The Encephalitis Virus Outbreak
