But Ric escalated all of it, first with the blackmail and next with trying to screw Ava out of the money. None of them are saints, but Molly will be justified in feeling however for what the coven did to her father.

I don't see Ric as some martyr or a punching bag, but I agree about the unfair treatment of his character. If you are not named Sonny or Jason, you will be the town pariah at some point. Just look at Drew.
