Who's Coming
Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli): Spinelli works with Felicia (Kristina Wagner) to prepare James (Gary James Fuller) for a big shock.
Nazneen Contractor (ADA Justine Turner): The attorney is back in the mix as the investigation into Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting continues.
Gary James Fuller (James West): Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) son had a lot to absorb this week as he learns that his father, Nathan (Ryan Paevey), is still alive.
Robert Gossett (Marshall Ashford): Marshall’s return trip to Port Charles continues this week — as does his concern for son Curtis (Donnell Turner).
Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing): Ric has been off camera for several weeks as he is held captive in Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) basement, but he returns to the airwaves this week.
Paige Herschell (Jacinda Bracken): Jacinda is back to try her level best to help Michael (Rory Gibson) shore up his alibi for the night of Drew’s shooting.
Erika Slezak (Ronnie Bard): After surprising Tracy (Jane Elliot) last week in the Quartermaine mausoleum, the new character played by Daytime Emmy-winnner Slezak identified herself as the late Monica’s long-lost sister.
Alumni Report
Chris McKenna (Brennan, GH) shared some happy news about his former on-screen half sister on One Life to Live (and GH alum) Jessica Tuck (ex-Megan, OLTL; ex-Cassandra, GH). “And the magic keeps on happening! #JessicaTuck has joined us! This is her first day DIRECTING! We’re so lucky to have her on board,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter)…. Corbin Bernsen (ex-Father Todd, Y&R; ex-John, GH) has been cast in the lead in the thriller Laura Louise.
n Memoriam
André Landzaat, who originated the role of Tony Cassadine on GH, passed away at the age of 81. Born and raised in the Netherlands, he studied acting in Paris and New York before training beside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino at The Actors Studio. In 1981, he became the first actor to be cast as a Cassadine on GH, where his character had the distinction of dying in a freezer alongside his love, Alexandria Quartermaine, during the Ice Princess storyline. His Instagram account, Creative Soul of Acting, posted the following: “We are so sorry to share some very sad news. Andre passed away peacefully today in the hospital, with Ed, his dear partner, right by his side. We know how much Andre cared for each of his students and he truly loved you all. We hope we can all hold on to the many lessons and memories he’s given us. Fly, dear Andre, you are forever in our hearts and your teachings will always have an impact on us as actors and human beings ♥️.”
Industry News
Wild Times: Thanks to the Major League Baseball’s wild card playoff games, it was announced that GH will be preempted on Tuesday, September 30, and Wednesday, October 1, of this week and could possibly be preempted on Thursday, October 2, as well, depending on the outcome of Wednesday’s game.
Be Our Guest: This Tuesday, Cameron Mathison (Drew, GH) will be joining the hosts of Soapy — B&B’s Rebecca Budig (Taylor) and DAYS’s Greg Rikaart (Leo) — on a new episode of the video podcast series. In the exclusive clip, Budig and Mathison discuss their shared soap past on All My Children, where their respective characters, Greenlee and Ryan, were lovebirds. You can watch their exchange about what they call a magical time in their careers below.
