TPTB seem quite pleased with Cameron and they seem invested in Drew wreaking havoc on the canvas. CM already stated he is receiving a lot of hate on social media and he's taking it in stride.
To me, TPTB are happy with that because it is a reaction, which means fans are watching and getting riled up. Only thing worse than that would be apathy. At this point, the only thing to elicit change will be:
1. Ratings plunge that lingers
2. A new writing/EP regime is brought in
It's funny how everyone jeers at Drew for sleeping with his nephew's wife and other dastardly things. Yet, view the local mobsters as the devil we know, so it's okay. And then you have Ezra. It's like they are trying to stack the deck to prop other characters as if to say: See, they aren't so bad. Look at what these folks are doing. Ezra sleeps with hookers and Drew manipulated a child--twice. What's a little murder of a federal agent? Infidelity doesn't trump murder for me. Sorry.
