Danny isn’t a criminal. Drew IS a criminal abusing his office. Drew is a convicted felon. He is a grown man and his former ’son’ is a teenager who did not have criminal intent.

Drew wants vengeance on a teen because of his father. He admitted it - he wanted Danny to have a record.

BTW, the PCPD aren’t his personal goons, either.
