they will just have to roll with it. In a perfect world, he would talk to his daughter to see how she's feeling but as her father--he gets to make the call on where she lives.

A flight from NY to DC is only 41 minutes. A compromise could be allowing Scout to fly back every other weekend and some holidays. Her brothers could also come visit on the other weekends.
