The play is one of the lesser known by Tennessee Williams. Here is the synopsis by Wiki:
Camino Real is an untraditional play. An innocent stranger, Kilroy, arrives in the town of Camino Real only to be tempted by the lures of its degradations—including prostitutes hanging out of windows—a world where he is promptly robbed, beaten, and left for dead.
Quite a few historical characters show up. Don Quixote, Sancho Panza, Casanova, Lord Byron, and Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame, to name a few. Nicholas Chavez plays the protagonist Kilroy.
I think NAC did a wonderful job. He has such a screen presence. He more than matches the seasoned stage actors he shares the stage with. That young man is going places.
Pamela Anderson plays Marguerite and she did a wonderful job. She NAC share one scene. Even though she is the bigger name, I must say this play belongs to NAC.
I enjoyed the play very much.
