General Hospital Message Board

I'm in a discussion on another board, where some posters are saying they want Chad back because Rory is a terrible recast, acting like a stoic robot. I disagree. Michael is back after a hellish ordeal and he is pissed. Why would he show emotion in court? You are supposed to be cool as a cucumber. He has his game face on. Also, he is in some pain. Upon his return, Joss asked for permission to hug him and that same episode, Sasha asked if he was in pain--Michael said he was, but he can handle it. No matter how miraculous Ava's procedure was--I imagine skin grafts were involved. I researched it and Michael will be in pain for weeks. He was burned over 40% of his body--so pain management is definitely in the mix.

Anywho, Rory has been here about 5 minutes. I think he has done fine thus far and I'm going to give him 30 days to get his footing and you know, demonstrate other emotions. The writers have an opportunity here to give Michael an edge that Chad never quite pulled off.
