Amanda Setton has been said to be Modern Orthodox - Rena Sofer mentioned during a Zoom fan event that Amanda couldn't participate because it fell on her observant sabbath. Among the speculation about why her clothing style changed from her pre-GH days is that she converted to Orthodox practice when she got married, which means, she won't show her bare arms. The same poster mentioned an interview Amanda and Josh did where they explained not wanting their kids to see them scantily clad in bed together.
That is their prerogative but it's showbiz. You can't be all conservative on a soap, that relies on sexiness, sex, cheating etc. My thing is--Josh and Amanda kiss, so if your kids find that on the internet one day (Josh's words) then you will have the conversation that daddy was working. It's make believe. I just consider it a copout. Do the job you were hired to do. If you worry about compromising your morals--head over to Hallmark. You can't have it both ways. Pick a lane and stay in it.
It reminds me of Will Smith's movie--Six Degrees of Separation. He was supposed to kiss a man in the film and he refused to do it. He was worried about his image and what his homies would say. My thing is--you read the script and agreed to do the film. Why not turn it down? Years later WS did say he regretted being unprofessional and he should have just done the kiss.
