parameters. They said back to 1963! If you down think that iconic characters I mentioned didn’t inspire some other characters then I don’t know what to tell you.

Before Carly there was OLTL’s Gabrielle, and Y&R’s Phyllis.

Before Ryan and Kevin there was Adam and Stuart.

Before Jax, Nick Newman there was Tad Martin.

My point is, regardless of the decade— the Carly’s, Sonny’s, Ava’s etc are standing on the shoulders of those who paved the way first. And the actors today do have influence due to social media. Now that I think of it State of Mind likely has influenced countless people and thus MB is influential 😄

The ones that paved the way first? You mean the people from 70's & 80's? You're making my point for me. As for MB, you can't be as big as he was in the 90s and half of the 2010's and not have some influence. When you have actors saying they'd like to work with him and not be at least a little influential.

I'm not looking to argue this, it's an interesting conversation. But for me it comes down to what defines "influential".
