I agree she has had too many scenes being a crochety old lady lately, but today's scenes were helped by them showing the soft side of her with Gio after showing her disdain for Sonny.

Jane Elliott is a treasure -- she can be both villainous and caring -- often to the same family member. I was ok with her showing contempt for Sonny because she has never liked him. And I really liked how quickly she softened up as soon as she as alone with Gio.
