Jason says is, it must be true. He does no wrong and says no wrong. We are told that he can be ruthless offscreen protecting Sonny's interests (Sonny is also a dialog-only mobster). But on screen Jason has more scenes with more characters than an other character on the show. And he is always the voice of reason and he is always right.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sorry we didn't get to see the Britt/Jason/Carly triangle and I'm glad Steve Burton is back on the show. But Jason as the font of all wisdom and truth is one of the reasons I still harken back to the days of PC Online when Sonny and Jason were called the Gummy Bear Mob, because the way the show wrote them, they can't be dealing in anything stronger than contraband gummy bears.
