My sources are reporting that the retcon of Sasha being Holly's (and I have been told Robert's) is dictated by the network. Not Varni. There is a new female programming exec in charge who asked for it. The writers supposedly pushed back, but seeing they have been serving ***** on a storyline shingle the past several years I don't see the network taking anything the writers or Frank want seriously. The same exec also demanded Lois lose her accent as well as Martin. The Exec was a fan of Rena's from her Melrose Place days and when she saw her on GH (oblivious to the history of Lois) she wanted to know why Lois talked with an accent. She didn't care and hence the stupidity of erasing one of the most unique elements of Rena's character. My source says the Robert/Holly/Sasha Scorpio retcon won't make sense.
because I don't see even GH being this stupid. The question is why the network would care so much. Holly isn't even a regular character.
