Alexis could have alerted Michael to help search for Kristina, while she and Sam were also out looking. The episode ends with Cates at the boathouse, someone approaches him from the back and he turns around and says: Oh, it's you! And then bang bang. He drops dead.
Monday: Michael walks into the Q mansion with Kristina who is emotionally spent. Alexis walks into her home looking distraught. Sonny finds Carly and pulls her aside same as he did today. So 3 suspects a lot better than just showing us Phony Soprano did it.

Thank God for Tracy for cutting right to the chase and calling out Sonny. This is so bad. Cates was harassing Kristina, but he didn't deserve to lose his life over it. Sonny doesn't know about Cate's nefarious plans for Ava. Make no mistake, Sonny had Jason following Ava because he wanted her to recant her statement about Kristina. So we have "the lead" on this soap, a criminal--shoot an unarmed man. Not once but twice and then his son is quick to help him cover it up. There needs to be consequences for Sonny, Michael and Carly. Will there be? Doubtful.
