with Kevin did not bother me. She expressed her inner conflict for what she was feeling for Heather vs the heinous acts she committed. Laura also brought up concern for the victims and how they might feel if she is released. If she were lobbying for it--I would get it. She wasn't. She shared what was in her head.

This Heather storyline is BS it makes Laura and Kevin look bad. She advocated for Esme and Esme ended up killing her grandchild . There is empathy and caring and then there's straight up clownery.

Nikolas did a lot and I do mean a lot of dark/dirty deeds, as he embraced his Cassadine roots. Laura forgave him each and every single time. He allowed her to think he was dead for 3 years, leaving her to raise his son when he was very much alive running around trying to take back control of the Cassadine fortune. ALL of which he could have done while alive. Laura even went country to country searching for him when he was missing.

And Spencer was Laura's heart. There is nothing she wouldn't do for her grandson. She temporarily moved to Europe for 2-3 months to get him settled into boarding school as a result of keeping him safe from Valentin. Laura loves all of her grandchildren but she was certainly closest to Spencer as she practically raised him. Spencer also did bad things like stalking Ava. Laura told him he was wrong, needed to own it and she showed him compassion. She gave him numerous pep talks about learning from him mistakes, doing better, and gaining wisdom.

And I do believe that she expressed to someone recently, regretting putting so much faith into Esme, but she truly believed that she had changed for the better. In Laura's defense she did not know that Esme had gotten her memory back so up until that point Esme had in fact changed.

I will admit that Laura should be extremely cautious and weary after what happened with Esme. There are some parallels for sure but the difference here is--Laura has the facts upfront. There is a medical reason to explain why Heather did what she did. I didn't hear Laura advocate for her release (yet) so I'm not going to judge her for something that hasn't happened yet. But if she turns out be leading the charge to get her released--I will definitely give her the side eye.

And as Karen pointed out above. Laura and Heather have a 40 year history. She's seen her at her best, worst, and unthinkable.

We saw this play out with Franco's brain tumor and he was also a serial killer. But eventually, the citizens of Port Charles accepted him as a functional member of society.

As of right now, all I witnessed was a wife having an in-depth conversation with her husband about her conflicting feelings for a serial killer.
