Jason is working with John (I still prefer the name Jagger) to expose Pikeman, though I don't remember if Anna knows that John (I still prefer the name Jagger) has Jason tasked with getting in with Pikeman.

Would this be acceptable in the real world -- absolutely not. Is it the norm for soap operas ... yes.
