shape he was in after the beating. That is a side of Sonny Laura knew about but now there it was in her face. Years ago, when she was still married to Luke--she made Sonny promise that no harm or blowback would ever touch her family. He swore to it. Of course, then she was talking about Luke/Lucky/Lulu. No matter what, Sonny has always respected Laura and highly valued her opinion.

That being said, it is an entirely different thing to see your blood relative, beaten to a pulp and know that your friend did it in a church no less. Why would she stand by him and maintain a friendship after his beatdown of Cyrus. It is the straw that broke the camel's back. Everyone has a limit. A line that someone can cross and you have to cut ties. Laura is at that point.

Then we learned yesterday that Sonny ordered It's John Now's beating. He is spiraling but clearly Brick thought it was a good idea to send a message to John.

What Carly said to Jason yesterday is hilarious and speaks to her selfishness. Here Sonny is ready to divorce Nina (your favorite person) over lying about something that could have sent the mother of his children to prison and this selfish bint has Jason living in her head 24/7 rent free. Jason this. Jason that. And Jason should have had a BIGGER reaction to Michael planting a mole with the intentions to send Sonny to prison. Don't matter that he called it off--he went there over the fact that Sonny dared to break up with his mommy. I truly hope that Jason broaches the subject with Michael but I doubt it.
