He would surely do it willingly to protect his "brother." I am still on the fence if John is good or bad. I think it will be revealed that is up to his neck in this. Cutting corners and abusing his badge.
I’m sure Jason would willingly protect Sonny, but probably not by infiltrating the Pikeman org. for two years.
Why wouldn't John simply tell Sonny I have been working on this for the last 2-3 years blah blah blah.
I think John has been working on Pikeman for a long time, but Sonny possibly being their target is a new development.
All of the leave the rifle stuff also is perplexing. Who shoots someone and leaves the rifle unless they were trying to set someone up to take the fall.
The FBI thinks Pikeman is connected to the WSB, and the weapons that are being left at crime scenes belonged to the WSB. I’m guessing John is trying to suss out someone in the WSB who wants those weapons back to cover their involvement.
It's a murky/muddled story for sure. So once the mission was accomplished, John was going to just let Jason go home?
I don’t think John is willingly going to let Jason go, no matter what. He’s a valuable asset. Something is going to have to happen for Jason to get free of John.
