Jason was always the one who was 100% honest with and she knew would be there for her no matter what ... or regardless of what horrible thing she did. He accepted her unconditionally (though I think that is the reason he knew he couldn't be in a romantic relationship with her) ... and she chose to accept him unconditionally.
In fact, I think that is what made her love Sonny and pretend the dark side of his business didn't exist.
Having Joss call her out on it was interesting and so far this storyline is not going the standard soap way I expected it to.
