and she discovered he'd been with Nina all that time, was that she had comes to terms with Sonny's death and allowed herself to let her love for Jason come out. She was glad Sonny was alive, but she was looking forward to her wedding night with Jason (something she had longed for long before she hooked up with Sonny) all to have it snatched from her at the last minute.
Carly was always in love with Jason, and turned it platonic when he made it clear that he would only be friends with her -- so she turned to Sonny.
