I got hooked on Santa Barbara when he was the head writer and the show was at its best under his leadership.

I also started watching Guiding Light when he was Head Writer and he was credited with one of the best storylines in soap history. In a series of episodes over a week or two he totally changed the trajectory of several major characters. This made them more interesting and sparked long-term storylines.

This is beyond good news.
