there and didn't notice how frustrated maxie was getting for doing all the work that she did for crimson but knowing she was never going to get the top spot/recognition because nina had that spot as editor in chief.

lucy offered maxie a chance to help rebuild deception and becoming part owner/top executive. despite the recent problems caused by the tracy's lawsuit, maxie has a better deal at deception
