All My Children Update for Wednesday, 18-Dec-2002

Half of Pine Valley comes to say goodbye to Hayley and Mateo. Hayley feels guilty for dragging Mateo away from his family, but Isabella tells her that Mateo was a wanderer before he met her and where ever Hayley is will be home to him. She then gives Hayley a Mother/Daughter heart necklace. Fans are also treated to scenes of Hayley and Mateo's life together.

Frank comes back to talk to Mia. (What's with her on-again, off-again bruises?) Mia warns Frank not to go after William or he'll ruin his life. Frank is angry that Liza and Adam knew about William before he did.

At the gatehouse, Liza wonders how Stuart can look at her without thinking of Mia's fall. Stuart, as usual, is very understanding. Later, Frank comes by demanding to know why Liza didn't tell him about William and calling the adoption "cowardly." Liza stands by her sister's decision and gives Frank no satisfaction.

Maria leaves Aiden alone in her hotel room to go to Hayley and Mateo's going away party. After she leaves, Aiden makes plans to leave town. After saying her goodbyes, Maria rushes back to the hotel before Edmund can find Aiden in her room. Maria tries to keep Edmund from going inside, but when they open the door, Aiden is gone! As soon as Edmund leaves, Marie rushes out looking for Aiden. When she gets in her car, a hand comes up and grabs her over the mouth! (ALWAYS check the back seat before you get in, Maria.)
