All My Children Update for Friday, 6-Dec-2002

Knowing that Liza had suspected Mia and Adam of having an affair, Tad presses Liza about the details of Mia's fall. She finally admits that she caused Mia to fall when she approached her in the attic and tripped on her dress, causing Mia to fall out the window. Tad agrees to keep Liza's secret, but warns her that it will look better for her if she comes forward herself.

Meanwhile, Jake wants to get married in the hospital, but Mia would rather wait until she's better so she can walk down the aisle. Jake suggests they practice walking now and helps her out of bed. Jake and Mia walk into the chapel just in time to overhear Liza admit to pushing her out of the window.

Lori tells J.R. that she can't see him any more because they come from different worlds. Her father, the janitor, sees them together and wants to talk to J.R. alone. He tells him that Adam Chandler ruined his life when he lost his job at Chandler Enterprises and he'll never allow J.R. to date his daughter. Later, J.R. catches up with Lori and tells her he won't give up on her.

Jackson tells Maria that she can get back at David if she sues him for malpractice. The downside...it could take years and involve her family. Although tempted, Maria decides that it's too high of a price and will have to let it go this time. Then she whines to Aiden how David is untouchable. After she leaves the bar, Aiden bails out on his job - AGAIN!

Edmund offers David money to finance lab trials in exchange for the compound to the drug, so he can have his "experts" verify it. David (who apparently took his "stupid" pill today) agrees and gives Edmund his data. Later, Aiden attacks David (like the Neanderthal he is). He knocks him unconscious, ties him up and prepares to inject him with his own drug!
