All My Children Update for Wednesday, 20-Nov-2002

Ah, to live in a place where they have costume charity balls! Too bad half the people in Pine Valley don't want to go. Lots of action today as everyone makes preparations for the ball.

But first, Kendall and Greenlee go to the same bar after getting fired. They argue, until some loser hassles them, then they gang up on him to a cheering crowd at the bar. Trey and Aidan arrive and pull them off the guy, who the bartender finally tosses out. Seeing how well they work together, Trey suggests they go into business together. Kendall and Greenlee are not very excited about this idea.

Frank tells Simone he can't take her to the ball after all, because he has to work. Simone thinks he's avoiding her because her father caught them together after they'd made love and now Frank is worried about his job at the hospital. After Simone leaves to go to the ball solo, Frank decides to tell her that he video-taped her brother overdosing (and did nothing to help him.)

Lori plans to go to the ball with J.R., until she's recruited to work it instead. Dressed in her wait costume, Lori tries to avoid J.R., but he notices her soon enough when she drops her tray. J.R. tries to get her to bag the job. When she tells him she needs the money, J.R. offers to pay her instead!

Brooke doesn't want to attend her own party, but Tad talks her into going. He also has to talk Jamie into going, who finally agrees to go in order to please his mother, though he swears he's going to punch "that creep" if he sees him. Brooke thinks "that creep" is a kid at school.

Liza wonders about the pregnancy test in Mia's purse. Mia wants to tell Liza what's on her mind, but Liza puts her off. Liza later tells Marion that Mia may be pregnant with Adam's baby. Marion promises to help Liza make her escape with Colby. Adam spots Liza and Marion sneaking out of the house with Colby's suitcase. Liza covers, saying that Marion wants Colby to spend the night with her.

When Colby and Mia come in wearing matching dresses, Liza's mind is working over-time imagining that Mia is trying to take her place.
