All My Children Update for Wednesday, 15-Mar-2000

On today's show: Adrian (I'm a happy woman), David, Erica, Leo, Vanessa, Gillian, Jake, Ryan, Hayley, Mateo, Arlene, Janet, Isabella, Edmund, Alex, Guy, Tad, Dixie, Scott, Becca, Axel and the waiter that Arlene hit on. I think I got everyone.

Here's today's update:

The show starts off with Scott & Becca
sucking face. (Barf). Scott asks her if they want each otherso bad, what's stopping them?

David is cleaning himself up after
Gillian threw a drink at him. Leo taunts him. Erica is ticked that David lied to
her about Colby's paternity.

Arlene hits on the waiter and asks for a
drink. Runs into Adrian. (swoon). She asks him out and he turns her down. (I don't blame her for hitting on him. Adrian is F-I-N-E). He tells her about a private party at the SOS.

Hayley & Mateo are at SOS. They discuss
Janet. And Arlene. They are having an
engagement party. Mateo's mother
Isabella shows up. Edmund & Alex show up next. Boring talk between them behind
the bar. Tad & Dixie show up next.
Hayley tells them how uncomfortable she
was testifying at the hearing. Tad is
upset about Jake and wants Adam to pay.

Jake is at home and Ryan shows up to talk to him. Jake doesn't want to talk but
Ryan does. Jake asked him if he wanted to know where he stands with Gillian or where Ryan stands with his ex-wife.

Ryan told Jake that he knew that Colby
wasn't his child. He also told him that
Gillian loves him. Ryan also told him
how Adam tried to get Gillian to tell him the truth but she wouldn't. Also how she ripped into David and threw a drink at him.

Guy comes in SOS. Edmund introduced him
to Mateo & Hayley. Guy toasts the happy
couple.

Arlene arrives at Janet's house. Janet
tells her that she's going to Hayley's
party but feels guilty leaving her alone.
Arlene goes to the liquior cabinet and
pours herself a drink. Doesn't know
quite what to do with herself in a empty house. Talking to herself in the mirror. She goes upstairs to change for the party.

Vanessa rambles on & on to Leo about David. Leo asks her if she love David. She said that she loves both of her sons. David & Erica are still fighting. Erica is still upset that David lied to her. She also keeps throwing his past with Gillian.

David questions Erica about their relationship. He calls her on her insecurities. Vanessa buts in. David gets upset with his mother. Leo pipes in and says that David is attracted to Erica is because she reminds him of their mother.

Janet arrives at SOS. Hayley warns her about her mother. Dixie asks Alex about how she manhandled a mugger at a mall. Axel arrives at the party. Hayley tells him about how her mother's boss/lover died after a little "afternoon delight."

Becca tells Scott that she wants to wait before making love. Scott wants to know how she does it, waiting. He asks her to Hayley & Mateo's party. She accepts.

Jake doesn't want to talk about Gillian to Ryan. Ryan keeps telling him that she loves him and chose him. He also tells Jake not to blow the best thing that's happened to him. Ryan leaves. Jake looks at a picture and flashback to when he asks Gillian if he didn't sue for custody, would she had married him. There's a knock on the door and it's Gillian.

Jake asks Gillian what she wants. She came to answer his question. She said that she would have married him. He's upset that she called him a good guy.

David & Erica are still arguing. He wants to define what they mean to each other. If they have a future together. He asks her how many times does he have to say I love you for her to believe it? He also told that he pictures himself spending the rest of his life waking up next to her. He also says that she has to stop with her little insecurities. Erica just walks out. (A little ticked off, I say).

Arlene shows up at SOS. Hugs Hayley and goes to hit on Adrian again. (Woman has tastes). She finally introduces herself and he to her. Tina is all bend out of shape about Arlene undressing him with her eyes. Hayley comments that her mother doesn't stop at the eyes. (Tina honey, you're not dating him).

Scott & Becca are dancing and Leo cuts in. Arlene wants to make a toast. (She's drunk. This should be good).

Arlene congratulates Hayley & Mateo on their engagements. She's pretty much air their dirty laundry in front of everyone. She also mentions that she slept with Hayley's ex-husband. Mateo want to stop her but Hayley said no. She wants to let everyone see Arlene in all her glory.

Leo asks Becca to dance, she said no. David show up at SOS and rips Leo about Erica. Leo tells him that he's just jealous because their mother likes him best. (These two are like the Smothers Brothers). David asks him why their mother neglect his education and calls him a functional illerate. (That's my guess too). Scott & Becca overhears them while dancing.

Gillian tries to convince Jake that she loves him and good for her. He asks her if that's all he's good for? (Gillian honey, you're beating a dead horse here. Let him go).

David challenge Leo to calculate a tip. Leo told his brother that he isn't a circus monkey and to do it himself. (I think big bother is right). Becca tries to comfort him but he's angry at his brother. Guy leaves after replaying the Dixie/Alex conversation about manhandling a mugger. (This guy is cute, but if he's stuck doing scenes with Alex, I'm going to find it hard to like him).

Adrian offers Arlene a ride home. She accepts and kisses him. Tina is very upset after witnessing the display. (Gee, is Tina ticked or what)?

Jake questions himself that if he didn't want to give Colby and Gillian a happy home, would he married her?

One more comment. I'm a little miffed that Adam didn't have the decency to show up at his own daughter's engagement party. Also where was her uncle Stuart & Marian? Oh well, tune in tomorrow.
